Our founder
Swift Telephone Network was founded and developed under the leadership of the late Barr. (Mrs.) Clara Adetuyi, whose entrepreneurial determination helped establish the culture of resilience that continues to shape STN.
Her leadership guided STN's formative years and helped turn an early telecommunications service into a growing communications business.

1998
STN's journey begins as a modest calling operation supporting the NUGA Games.
1999–2000
Voicemail services introduced within the University of Lagos community.
2003
Digital landline services deployed through a franchise relationship with Independent Telephone Network. STN also participates in WAEC Direct.
2005
STN obtains its own operational telecommunications licences from the Nigerian Communications Commission.
2008
Regulatory approval obtained for the relevant licence name change.
2010
Operations cease following infrastructure, organisational and other challenges.
2017
STN is revived under the leadership of Oluwole Adetuyi.
2019
Operating licence reinstated and operations fully resume.
2020
COVID-19 accelerates a strategic move beyond traditional enterprise telephony.
2022
On 22 February 2022, STN formally submits its Unified Access Service Licence application.
2026
The granting of the Unified Access Service Licence creates a platform for broader participation in Nigeria's telecommunications and digital economy.
